For over 25 years, Dawnita McCain has navigated the highest levels of corporate banking — not just as an executive, but as a woman who refused to let the world's limited perception of her become her own.

From a southern girl raised by a single mother, to Managing Director and COO at Regions Bank's Corporate Banking division, her journey is proof that the inner work is the real work. Today she brings that journey to early and mid-career minority professionals who need to hear it most.

A Message for Those Who Were Never Supposed to Be Here

Dawnita speaks to early and mid-career minority professionals navigating corporate spaces — the ones doing the work, earning the results, and still quietly wondering if they belong.

"You Too, Can."
Signature Keynote · Identity · Leadership · Inner Work

This is not a talk about confidence hacks or career ladders. It is a talk about identity — the original you, before the world's opinions settled in and made themselves at home. Drawing from her own journey through corporate barriers and the quiet moments where she had to choose whose story to believe, Dawnita walks audiences through the inner architecture of an extraordinary life.

Where You Start Your
Story Matters

There was a girl who loved stories. Talkative, curious, always putting her own special flare on what she learned — to make someone smile, laugh, or think.

But early, the world began to offer its opinions. About her skin. About her voice. About who she was allowed to become. Each one a quiet attempt to rewrite a story that was never theirs to tell.

"I didn't know how — but I knew I could."

That knowing carried her through a Fortune 500 internship, a 25-year career at the highest levels of banking, and every room that wasn't built for someone who looked like her. It wasn't a plan. It was a conviction. And it is available to everyone.

Living with Heart and Mind

Weekly reflections drawn from years of reading, meditating, and paying close attention to the principles that govern an extraordinary life — offered freely, because when we learn, we share.

Monday · Identity
The True Nature of Courage

Courage isn't a heroic leap. It is a willingness to take one step — and it becomes natural when you understand your why.

Tuesday · Thought
The Art of True Concentration

Real concentration is not effort — it is what happens when genuine interest makes everything else fade away naturally.

Wednesday · Thought
Perception as Creation

We don't just observe reality — we participate in creating it through how we choose to perceive it.

Thursday · Courage
Replacing "What Is" with "What If"

"That's just the way it is" contains a universe of limitation. What if everything is working together for our good?

Friday · Identity
The Democracy of Divine Potential

Every person has access to the same creative power of the universe. The principles work the same for everyone.

Saturday · Courage
The Space Between What Was and What Will Be

The deepest transformations happen not when something new begins, but when something old falls apart.

Dawnita J. McCain

Dawnita McCain is a banking executive, author, speaker, and community leader with nearly three decades of experience driving operational excellence and organizational change. As Managing Director and Corporate Bank COO at Regions Bank, she leads a high-performing operations team that supports bankers across a diverse range of industries and capital structures.

In her current role, Dawnita is responsible for streamlining operations, managing organizational change, and championing initiatives that elevate both individual performance and institutional outcomes. She has a proven record of building teams, launching programs, and creating infrastructure where none existed — including founding a Women's Affinity Group at a top five bank and leading the inaugural Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Network for a major metropolitan market.

Beyond the bank, Dawnita is the founder and chair of Pearls for Progress Foundation, a community-focused nonprofit dedicated to financial literacy education and scholarships in the Gwinnett County area. Through initiatives like the "Progress in Your Pocket" savings challenge and literacy workshops, she has brought meaningful financial empowerment programming to underserved communities.

Dawnita is the author of The Stories We Tell, a book that explores how the narratives we construct about ourselves — often unconsciously — either unlock our potential or anchor us to our limitations. Drawing from decades of observing what drives high performance and what stalls it, she wrote the book as both a challenge and an invitation: to examine the story you're living and decide if it's the one you want to tell.

A sought-after voice on leadership, identity, and community development, Dawnita brings a unique perspective shaped by executive experience, entrepreneurial grit, and genuine care for the people she serves. She is a proud member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., a wife of 30 years, and a devoted mother of three.
